Serpentbloom Snake	1 Spawned	Wailing Caverns (Dungeon)
	Makes sounds when clicked. To get this snake to spawn you must have the quest Preemptive Methods, which is a one-time quest offered by Nalpak just inside the dungeon entrance. A Serpentbloom Snake will spawn each time you harvest a Serpentbloom inside the instance. Note that these snakes are level 1 but the rest of the NPCs in the dungeon are higher level (scaling from approximately 8 to 31).
Shadow Serpent	28	Shadowmoon Valley - Outland
	Found along parts of the northernmost rim of the zone, including north of Coilskar Point, and a section north of the Altar of Sha'tar extending east to the Black Temple. Has a green-purple aura that is lost upon taming.
Crafty Snake	30	Den of Sseratus, Gundrak (Dungeon)
	Makes sounds when clicked. In the room with the first boss, Slad'ran. Crafty Snakes seem to be much less common than the dominant Fanged Pit Vipers and there may only be one in the room. The green and red variants do not make sounds when clicked, but the brown and black ones do.
Drakkari Snake	30 Spawned	Altar of Sseratus, Zul'Drak
	Makes sounds when clicked. Summoned by Drakkari Snake Handlers in combat. The black and brown variants seem to make sounds when clicked, the red and green variants do not.
Viper	30-35 Spawned	Neferset City, Uldum
	Makes sounds when clicked. Found in the original (pre-N'Zoth Invasion) phase of Uldum, speak to Zidormi in Ramkahen if you need to switch time phases. Summoned by Neferset Snake Charmers during combat. These phase out later in the zone quest chain. The red variant does not make sounds when clicked, the other three colours do.
Amani Snake	35 Spawned	Zul'Aman (Dungeon)
	Spawned by Snake Traps placed by Hex Lord Malacrass during combat.
Marsh Serpent	35	Vir'naal River Delta, Uldum
	Found in the original (pre-N'Zoth Invasion) phase of Uldum, speak to Zidormi in Ramkahen if you need to switch time phases.
Pit Viper	35	Chamber of Prophecy, Halls of Origination (Dungeon)
Marsh Serpent	50	Vir'naal River Delta, Uldum
	Found in the Assaults phase of Uldum. Not present when the Black Empire Assault (which spans the centre of the zone) is active.

	Found in the eastern part of the river delta in north-west Wetlands (approximate coordinates: 40,30). These snakes spawn when Dark Iron Trappers drop Snake Traps. They're flagged tameable but give an 'already controlled' message if you try.
Gorgejaw the Glutton	12-52 Rare Elite	Island Expeditions (Scenario)
	A possible encounter on any island, except maybe Crestfall, Rotting Mire, and Snowblossom Village.
Cavern Serpent	35 Spawned	Murkdeep Cavern, Uldum
	Found in the original (pre-N'Zoth Invasion) phase of Uldum, speak to Zidormi in Ramkahen if you need to switch time phases. Summoned by Dark Ritualist Zakahn in combat. Flagged tameable, but gives an "already controlled" error if you try.
Viper	35 Spawned	Shado-Pan Garrison, Townlong Steppes
	Only appears during the quest, The Challenger's Ring: Hawkmaster Nurong, when it's summoned during combat with Hawkmaster Nurong. Flagged tameable but gives an "already controlled" error if you try.
