Undead Taming

Forsaken hunters automatically know how to tame undead creatures. Hunters of other races must learn the skill from a Simple Tome of Bone-Binding which is a rare drop from miscellaneous Elite NPCs throughout Maldraxxus and its associated dungeons: Plaguefall and the Theater of Pain.

	Retains its original name after taming. Only present on days when the world quest Maw of Souls: Return of the Beas is active.
Forsaken Bonechewer	10-50	Horde Airship, Drustvar
	Alliance hunters that are able to tame undead will be able to tame this skeletal hound in the usual way, but it is friendly to Horde and can only be tamed by Horde hunters using the toy "N'lyeth, Sliver of N'Zoth" while in War Mode. These hounds only appear during Horde assaults on Drustvar. Two can be found on the Horde airship, just north-east of Arom's Stand, in the company of Kaldras Snape. They're located just below decks in the stern of the ship.

	Does not keep purple aura when tamed.
Mist Hound	11-51	Island Expeditions (Scenario)
	A possible encounter on Dread Chain, Skittering Hollow, Verdant Wilds.
Skeletal Hound	45 Elite	The Scullery, Return to Karazhan (Dungeon)
	The Scullery is adjacent to The Banquet Hall. You don't have to defeat Moroes to reach it.
Taja the Tidehowler	50 Rare	Windshorn Hills, Stormsong Valley
	Retains its original name after taming. Taja loses its purple aura upon taming.
Fire Hound	56-60	Zovaal's Cauldron, The Maw

Animated Marrowhound	60	The Grimoirium, Maldraxxus
	Uses the variant that has a lower profile.
Burning Fiend	60	Zovaal's Cauldron, The Maw

Darkhound Hunter	60	Maldraxxus
	Found in world quests "Better Off Dead," and "Deadly Reminder."
Ravenous Shade	60	Cocyrus, The Maw
	Has a unique spectral effect that it, sadly, loses upon being tamed.
Unbound Darkhound	60	Desmotaeron, The Maw
	Loses spectral effect upon taming.
Unbound Shademongrel	60	Desmotaeron, The Maw
	Loses spectral effect upon taming.
Unbound Soulseeker	60 Elite	Desmotaeron, The Maw

	Can appear on any island when a Kvaldir invasion is occurring.
Dog Bone	52-60	Challenger's Promenade, Maldraxxus
	Friendly.
Desperate Shade	60	Perdition Hold, The Maw
	Found during Necrolord Assaults.
Necrotic Darkhound	60	Glutharn's Decay, Maldraxxus
	Found in the world quest "Spore Losers". Cannot be tamed because you are riding a vehicle during the World Quest.
Cinta the Forgotten	60-70	Ohn'ahran Plains
	South of The Eternal Kurgans.
Rakul <The Soul Ravager>	62 Rare Elite	Desmotaeron, The Maw

Level scaling: Most NPCs will scale with the Hunter's level, within the constraints of their level range. Hunters can tame regular NPCs up to 2 levels higher than them, but can only tame elite NPCs of the hunter's level or below.
