Sprigling Gloam, The Emerald Dream
Liliuna initially appears as an untameable regular dreamsaber and turning her into a tameable thornclaw requires a small adventure. Firstly, obtain a Thorn-Laden Heart, which has a low chance of dropping from dreamsabers and flamecats in the Emerald Dream zone in the Dragon Isles (this heart will mention 'saber' in its description - there are also stag and bear versions, but they're for taming other thornbeasts). Once you have the heart, proceed to Drustvar in Kul Tiras and visit Athainne who is sometimes found in Ulfar's Den in the mountains far south-west of Fallhaven (approx. 46,45), and sometimes she wanders along the river below the den (around 52,40) with Athair. If she's not present in either location then you may have to wait - her schedule is unpredictable and it's also possible she disappears completely during daylight hours. Present the heart to her and she'll give you some Moontouched Thorns. Then speak to Ulfar, select his 'I have seen some animals...' dialog, then the dialog about Athainne, and he'll give you a Thornspeaker Ritual Knife. With the knife, proceed to Liliuna's cave at 57,49 in Sprigling Gloam in the Emerald Dream. If Liliuna isn't present (as a dreamsaber), wait a little while and she should appear. Her colour will determine which thornclaw you'll end up with: if she's initially a blue dreamsaber she'll turn into a pale thornclaw, purple becomes black, and teal green becomes green, so you may need to kill and reset her if she's not currently in the colour you need. After you kill her as a saber, use the ritual knife on her corpse and she'll resurrect as a thornclaw which you can tame!

Snowmelt Foothills, Drustvar
Found in a cave in the frosty slopes south-east of the Crimson Forest. Cave entry coordinates: 33.8, 62.3. Greenstalker has a dark aura and glowing light above his head, which may (or may not) be retained if he were made tameable. It's also noteworthy that he's classed as a wolf, while the other thornclaws are classed as cats.
Cannot Be Tamed
25-50Drustvar
Inhabits an area that spans roughly the east and south-east edge of the Crimson Forest basin, including the lower slopes around Snowmelt Foothills and Crimson Coast.
Level scaling: Most NPCs will scale with the Hunter's level, within the constraints of their level range. Hunters can tame regular NPCs up to 2 levels higher than them, but can only tame elite NPCs of the hunter's level or below.
